This morning our neighbour had to "shoo" these 2 beauties out of her yard. We watched them nibble on her rose bushes for at least 15 minutes after they had their main course in her vegetable garden.

We had such a good time in Coeur D'Alene this past few days. The B&B was just my kinda place, not so much Steven's, although he did say it was pretty special. The rooms were all filled with antique furniture, lots of doilys and ruffles. It was just like going upstairs "in Grandma's house." They served a gourmet breakfast each morning, mmmmm, and there was always coffee, scones and goodies sitting in the parlour. Two big black labs sat on the steps, just waiting for a scratch and a pat from anyone who needed a dog fix. It was just a block or two from the downtown area and the beach. I am always so surprised at the beauty of Coeur D'Alene once you are off the highway. The boat cruise around the lake was so interesting, who knew there were so many multi million dollar homes there?

The Roosevelt Inn in Coeur D'Alene. It's an old 1905 school house that has been turned into this amazing B&B. Very frilly and full of antiques.

Trying to take an artistic photo of Gypsy's shadow (and mine) but she kept sticking her face in the way.

I have been meaning to post this picture since Easter, she was not too enthused about wearing bunny ears, but she puts up with anything, gentle little beast.

This is the place that earns me the money that sends me on my next holiday!

It's simply HOT out there...even the deer are coming into town to find a cool and shady place to rest. We spotted this nice little buck just down the road from our house, he wasn't nervous or jumpy in the least.

Hide 'n Seek in the lupines.
