The mosquitos are horrendous this year, a person can hardly walk in the bush. You see people flapping their hands and waving their arms, looking as if they are trying to fly. However, a few weeks ago Steven and I were walking a back path up at Idlewild and we came across a Parks worker who was spraying the area for mosquitos. It's now a great place to go to because no one else realizes that it is bug free, and in the cool morning before the sun gets to its full power for the day it is a quiet and calm place to be. This morning it was just Gypsy and me. You can see how quickly it starts to look deserted and overgrown. It almost has a mysterious feeling to it. All you can hear are the birds and the faint rustle of the leaves as a tiny breeze passes by.

"Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I. But when the trees bow down, the wind is passing by."

Oh Whooo-hoooo....I found the colours and fonts.
Honestly, I have more computer problems than anyone else that I know. Our old and semi-faithful computer finally gave up the ghost. We bought it in 1999 so it did have a long life, as far as computers go. So Scott bought a new one and gave us his old one, which is a pretty good HP, bigger monitor etc and all around probably much better than our original. But it seems to have all these things that baffle me. Odd buttons and icons and strange (to me anyhow) operating programs. It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to download pictures from my camera and when I finally managed...I instantly forgot how I had done it and it took ANOTHER week to remember what simple step I had forgotten. Ahhh, 'twas a week of muttering nasty things under my breath and cursing Bill Gates. Now that I know how to get things on the computer, I can't seem to get them here, onto this site. It takes forever and day and nothing even happens. AND, the settings for font and colour have vanished from this particular site too. I just don't get it. But I shall persevere and keep on trying...

If I did this right, it should be a "happy pix" of little Gyps. If I did it wrong, I guess you'll see a blank spot.

The sepia picture is not so bad of me, but Dad is chewing gum wildly. The other one is good of Dad, but not so good of me. We never could get it together!!

I took a walk to the end of the block and this is the view that I had. What a place my Dad lives in, the church in the front yard and the ocean in the back.
