What? Did you say "Treat?"

She usually puts her ears back the second she sees the camera, I think the flash must bother her eyes, but the words "treat" or "cookie" always make her perk her ears up. Posted by Picasa

A few years ago a retired lady and her husband put this bench out in the middle of nowhere so people who were out walking could sit and enjoy the view. I was the first one there today...and since the temp is supposed to drop to -22 today, I'll bet I'm the last one there today too! Even Gypsy turned around and ran home. Posted by Picasa
We are in the midst of a snowfall warning. They are saying we might get as much as 20 cm today and to stay off the highways if possible. It's not too too cold out, -13 right now so I took a little walk up the powerline behind our house at noon. You can see the haze in the distance as the snowstorm gets closer. It's beautiful actually, I like this sort of day, very monochromatic...the sky and the snow is one colour and the trees all look the same shade of "dark". Posted by Picasa

Personalized Deer

How strange is this? Steven shot a nice buck, and on a close examination, his initial is on it's antler!! Posted by Picasa

Couch Potato

Sorry, Coral for "stealing" your baby's picture, but I just need to share this with everyone, I just LOVE it! You all need to click on it to enlarge it to get the full effect of his face...it just cracks me up and makes my day!! It's like he already knows what garbage is on TV these days...such a look of disgust!

Well the ice is thick enough for Gypsy to stand on, but not thick enough for me. This picture is mostly for my friend Kayleen who doesn't have ice where she lives! The water was only about 2-3 inches deep here, so even if the ice cracked, we would have all been fine, with nothing more than cold feet. I like the way the ice is so clear that you can see the bottom, usually it's much more "cloudy". Posted by Picasa

Gray or Grey?

I learned that it can be "grey" or "gray". Hmmm. Who knew?
