The picture didn't turn out crisp or clear, but you can see how the moon is blood red. It's hazy because of all the smoke, and red becuase of all the fires. It's a very creepy sort of scene. One fully expects to hear the howl of wolves (or werewolves?) in the background.

Moons like this be one of the only good things to come out of a forest fire, such incredible beauty! Last summer we had a season full of such moons, luckily (for the forests)not this summer down here, leastways not yet, its only mid August.
