This picture was meant to go with the post below this one. There actually are beavers up where I walk and they indeed do gnaw down the trees. When they first gnawed this one down it was about 18 feet long, and each day it was shorter and shorter, and today there was only about a 2 foot section left. Crazy little creatures.
